Most Romantic Song Ever
Here's an oldie,
Andy williams - Walk hand in hand with me...............
I'm your man - Leonard Cohen. It will do fine on your compilation
"I Only Want To Be With You" as performed by Shelby Lynne.
Couldn`t love you more by John Martyn , one of the most beautiful love songs ever (IMO)
"Where do you go" by Peter Sarstedt.
"Through The Years" by Kenny Rogers:)
Or you can get this album as cheap as chips. The sound quality is exceptional IMO.
The deeper the love - by whitesnake (if your lady is an 80's candyfloss rock chick) - that's my and my wife's snog
SONG!!!!!!!!!!!! Not snog!!
"It must be love". by Labbi Siffre. Although I definitely prefer the Madness version.
Isn't the point of a mix tape, or mix cd, or mix whatever else that it should be intimate and personal?
In other words, an eclectic selection of tracks suggested by people on a hi-fi forum may make for a great compilation, but it won't mean so much to your other half. Presumably there are songs that mean a great deal to you both and really help you connect.
Forgive me, but consulting a bunch of near-strangers seems a rather clinical way to approach this.
All depends on the end result,
nudge nudge wink wink, say no more........

Misery Is The River Of The World - Tom Waits.
I signed my divorce papers to that one.
But back to the original question, it's got to be, Thank You Too by My Morning Jacket. Again.
