BRISTOL NEWS: See you at the show!
The van is packed and the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision team is heading down the M4 to Bristol, ready to kit out our demo room with the latest high-tech systems.
The show opens tomorrow (February 22) at 10am and runs until Sunday at 5pm. We'll all be there in force, ready to answer your hi-fi and home cinema queries in person on our Helpdesk, or via the website.
We'll be showcasing the future of home entertainment on our stand, with high-quality audio and video playing from an I.US Media Centre PC and Apple TV box, feeding a Pioneer Kuro 50in plasma and top-of-the-range sound system.
Surround sound will come courtesy of a Classé processor (below) and multichannel amplification, feeding Monitor Audio's exceptional Platinum PL300 speakers (as reviewed in our March 2008 issue).
And just in case you can't make it to Bristol in person, the whathifi.com web team will be beavering away on their laptops bringing you up-to-the-minute news (and pictures) from the show each day, so you'll still be able to find out what's going on here on the site.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of the Bristol Sound and Vision Show, and its become one of the key events in the hi-fi and home cinema calendar.
There'll be around 175 exhibitors at the show, which will be packed with exclusive product launches including Arcam's Solo Mini, Mordaunt-Short's Limited Edition Performance 6 speakers and Denon's high-end Blu-ray player.
There's so much to see, we can't possibly list it all here, so see you at the show. And just to prove everyone's hard at work building our stand, here's a lovely picture of Simon, Andy and Joe doing their stuff!
