The Performance boasts twin electrical screening and gold-plated connectors, and the sound delivers a similar level of attention to detail and finesse.
Top-end frequencies are a touch brighter when heard through more expensive rivals, but nevertheless the level of detail, subtlety and scale here is undoubtedly impressive. There's plenty of punch and attack, too.
