Pro-ject RPM 9 vs Xtension

I am already owner of a Pro-ject RPM 9 with a Ortofon Kontrapunt B cartrdige. My dealer offer me a good deal changing my RPM 9 to Xtension. I will use my Kontrapunt with Xtension if I buy it. By any chance someone used or demoed both of them. Is it really worth to upgrade Xtension.

id be looking at a few other brands such as michell clearaudio vpi or even linn as an upgrade

My dealer sells only Pro-ject turntables. Of course I may consider other very good brands like VPI, but as I said my dealer offered me a good deal to change my RPM9 to Xtension. So any ideas...
