RE: PMC DB1i Review

Have a look at Backes and Muller (I think). They make active speakers (according to the German hifi mags) that are meant to knock other speakers into a cocked hat. They also look good.

Found them!  http://www.audio.de/bestenliste/standboxen-1406471.html

Or their English website here:  http://www.backesmueller.de/bm/en/index.htm.

Any idea of a price level, AL? I hope I'm wrong, but it all looks über-expensive...

Their site and the few others don't mention price Smile

but I found another site that said the top model is 100,000 euros. Mind you I prefer the looks of the (cheaper) Prime speakers. They're probably still more expensive than my car.

Top of the line a paltry 56000 euros, small change for the great JD  Wink

Also found these on the same website:  http://www.nubert.de/nupro-a-20/p932/?category=78 . They're about £500 a pair and in the Stereoplay 100 best speakers in the world, if that means anything.
