To say a particular cable is not worth trying is more than questionable.
Nowhere in the review do we say not to try it.
Well, I would say for most people your review equates to exactly that. I am not knocking you for telling us what you thought, the opposite, but what I would advise people to do is to try it if the usual suspects of cables in the double digit price range don't do the trick or if you're just after a cheap basic cable upgrade. I would anticipate that in a sympathetically matched system no one would guess the price of this product. Just my opinion as usual.

I think you underestimate the weight your publication carries, Clare.........

Getting better, thanks for asking
(except drummerman already said that, more or less. ignore me.)
We never forget our power or responsibility, Messrs D and D - but that responsibility includes telling it straight, especially as a counterpart to hype.
We've got a one-star review of a product from a major manufacturer in our next issue, and we didn't come to that decision any more lightly.
Group Marketing & PR Manager, Computers Unlimited.
Brands represented include Astell&Kern, Audeze, Audioengine, B&O Play, Canton, Flexson for SONOS and SONOS
Yes, understood absolutely, and it of course has made me rethink whether I need to jump again on that "merry-go-round" I described previously. I still stand by my statements (and will continue to) that I've compared the Gotham to (admittedly fairly modest) Chord and Cambridge cables and heard no benefit in the branded ones, but you must realise that nobody who reads the magazine and doesn't frequent these forums will ever buy Gotham now Quite looking forward to that one star review now though.....
As long as its not AVI's 9.1. Did any of the editors get to hear them?
Or (even worse) Neutron Vs........
To be fair I wouldnt describe either as major manufacturing firms. Most likely a dodgy mass-produced AV Receiver/large tv
I hope so, otherwise I am clearly deaf and should stop this lark altogether.
Fear not, it's not AVI.
My heart was beating there
I rather hope it still is John...
is it some new Primare kit....?i will get me coat...
Ignoring Tim for a moment.........Of course I should have realised, this presupposes getting any review kit out of Ashley. You can review mine if you like......Now back to Tim - the knobs get two stars on their own mate. Course, this makes my amp a two star one, but hey.........
is that 2 stars per knob... ?
