NEWS: NAD's latest tuner is analogue-only
Most of the talk in the world of radio may be about DAB, but NAD is going against the trend with the launch of a new analogue tuner covering the FM/AM bands. The company says the C425, which will sell for around £200, is designed for simplicity and high-quality sound.
The tuner has a new RF front end - the bit that actually receives the signal - for improved sensitivity in low signal areas, RDS decoding on FM and 30 presets.
You can input station names manually for AM stations, and as well as a remote handset, the C425 has an input for an external infrared receiver, and an RS232 port for control in custom installations.
