NEWS: Denon's first DAB multichannel receiver heads for the UK

You'd think Denon wouldn't need any more AV receivers in its already comprehensive product range, but this beastie will be making its way to the UK in late August.
The AVR-4308 is the company's first receiver with a built-in DAB tuner, and it can handle the latest surround sound formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD via its HDMI 1.3a connections.
It delivers 170W across all seven channels, has a Faroudja chip to upscale video to 1080p and is fully wi-fi enabled (hence the small aerial on the back).
Other highlights include twin remote controls (for controlling separate zones), auto set-up, audio streaming from a PC and 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analogue converters for all channels.
Available in silver and black, it will retail for around £2000.

Does anybody know what the "a" in "HDMI 1.3a" specifies (or restricts)?
No DTS-HD Master Audio... such a shame!
Not sure what the "a" in hdmi 1.3a means. But I have to agree, the lack of DTS-HD Master Audio is a shame, especially at this price range. I think I'll stick with my AVC-A11XVA for now and have my blu-ray/media center do all the hd audio decoding. It's successor, the AVC-A1HD does decode master audio, but at a price of around £3800, doesn't sound very appealing!
I just found some additional information on the "a" in HDMI 1.3a. It's not an restriction, but an addition to the spec. As far as I can see is not very important for general usage.
