AV Receivers Reviews

A staggeringly powerful and entertaining amp that’s unrivalled at this price

A well-featured receiver full of power, but not quite the thrill we hoped for

If you put sound performance ahead of features, this Anthem is a terrific choice. Rarely have we heard a multi-channel amplifier sound so accomplished with music

Best home cinema amplifier £700-£1500, Awards 2014. The best we’ve reviewed just got better. Another success story for Pioneer

A most commendable amplifier, but not quite an all-rounder.

A solid effort from Pioneer, but the excellent competition rob it of a fifth star

An impressively specified receiver, but its sound performance leaves us wanting

An endlessly entertaining receiver that’s full of character

Product of the Year, Awards 2014. A seriously good amp that balances muscle and subtlety with stacks of features at a great price. Sony raises the bar once again

A strong contender, but its weaknesses are highlighted by its rivals.
