What Hi-Fi? Verdict

Best iPod cable, Awards 2010. Excellent interconnect for iPod and iPhone owners

Pros

  • + Chunky, punchy and spacious sound. Good connectors

Cons

  • - Nothing

Russ Andrews' GQ-24 UltraPlate stands head and shoulders above its rivals. It packs a solid dynamic punch and a spacious, well-detailed sound to boot.

There are several variations: our favourite is the version with UltraPlate phono plugs.

Standard nickel plugs are avilable for £10less, and there are shorter versions, too. Even cheaper is the 3.5mmminijack variant, so there are plenty of fine-sounding options.
