New Samsung MU series of TVs won't work after update

Hello, heres a warning for anyone intending to purchase a new Samsung Mu series TV, think again. I and many others have had no picture on screen since Friday after a firmware update, and after numerous calls to the customer support all you get from them is "we know about it", "You are not the only one" "our software engineers are looking in to it".

We can get no time frame, no explanation why, infact customer support has been woefull.

Sorry for my rant, but I thought potential buyers should be informed

Having a blank screen on your

Having a blank screen on your new Samsung television is well worth complaining about, no need to apologise! In fact I wouldn't even call it a rant. What is your television's exact model number, by the way?

Parlour: Sony KDL-75W855C and 12.1 system; Kitchen: Panasonic TX-P65VT65 and 8.1 system; Front bedroom: LG 60PZ950T and 5.2 system; My bedroom: Pioneer LX5090 and 7.2 system. Retired, since Sat 13-Feb-2016, Pioneer 428XD!

Its a 49"MU6500 curved TV, I

Its a 49"MU6500 curved TV, I have now arranged an engineer thru the customer support to come out Tuesday, so 11 days its taken them to sort it out and I will have to lose a days wages waiting for the engineer, and there has been no apology. Samsung are a disgrace and I will never purchase one of their products again.

An update to the Samsung fiasco

Had the engineers out, they put a 8gb usb stick into the back of tv, typed a code into the remote and we sat back & waited 20mins, 20 mins passed and absolutely nothing happened. So they have taken the Tv away & they are putting a new board in it.

Interestingly I was the second Samsung they were fixing of the day and the previous one was already in the back of their van. Also they informed me that they had another team of engineers out who had attempted two fixes, both failed using Samsungs so called fix.

In summary purchased Tv on 1st August broke due to firmware update on 17th and if the engineers manage to fix it should be getting it back 5th Sept, I have had to buy another TV to cover period, made numerous calls to Samsung, will have had to take two days off work, and no offer of compensation, not even an apology, just an untrue statement (under 200 Tv's)

I hope anyone thinking of buying a Samsung product reads this before making a purchase. This is how much Samsung thinks of their customers, Zilch!

MU 6500

Never been a brand I followed. Cheap rubbish trying to brand itself as a premium product. Stick with Sony or Panasonic if you want build quality.

Demand

Couldn't you just take the set back and demand your money back given the time that you have had just the tv ?
