Any regrets?

I know things have been tough recently with the shocking passing of Big Chris but just wondered whether you had any regrets in life?

Personally speaking, can't say I have any apart from....

Although I'm enjoying running my own business, if somebody held me against a wall and asked what I missed the most, it would have to be... not persuing the lithographic printing business after I left the (print) family.

It gave me such a buzz, but technology has moved on and I would find it hard to adapt from old fashioned films and plates to digital printing.

What do you regret most and why?

So many regrets, so little time.

I fully plan, however, to do as many things as possible that I'll regret doing later before I finally meet my maker Dance 4

Sony UBP-X800 UHDBDP, Marantz 7010, 7.2.4 w/ Yamaha NS-IW960 L/C/R, NS-IW660 SR/SL/RR/RL, & 4 NS-IC800s, 2 Polk PSW110 subs. Samsung 6 series 65 in 4K TV. Waiting for 100-120 in 4K HDR wallpaper TVs to be affordable.

I do regret of having given the liberty to some people of getting in my inner circle, and had to expel them...

usually i'm a good judge of character, it's one of the few things I do right.

but i've to admit that I did a mistake with 3/4 people...

No I don't give second chances to anybody, when You get cheated once, they will do it again, it's just a question of time, and i don't allow that to anybody.

RE: Any regrets?

Geoff Boycott once remarked that he did not have any regrets in life, as everything he had done jad been the right decision at that time.

One thing you realise as you get older is that you regret things you haven't done rather than things you have done.

On a trivial note I do regret not looking after my LPs better when I was a teenager, and not used them as frisbees at times.

RE: Any regrets?

We all have regrets of some type, whether we admit them to ourselves or not.

But life is a funny thing and often these regrets can often lead to good things.

When I was at college I quit IT to study psychology.  After my degree (also in psychology), I had to retrain and ended up doing an MA in IT...a really long way around.  I sometimes regret not just sticking with it in the first place as my career would be that bit further ahead...but when I think about it I realise that in my college psychology class I met Claire, who's now my wife.  I also had a really good time at college and psychology led me to work in an interesting area for 4 years. It was badly paid but a fascinating  experience.

RE: Any regrets?

I think sensible regrets demonstrate that you have identified and learned from the things you have got wrong, and that can't be a bad thing.
