Sure, if I was looking to spend big and really soup up my TV viewing at home I'd look to a premium Dolby Atmos soundbar like the Sonos Arc, or a speaker package system. But for simply boosting a TV's innately poor sound volume and quality, easily, affordably and without having to rearrange a room, Sonos's smallest and cheapest soundbar is just the ticket. The four-star bar doesn't have heaps of bass – understandable for its compact size – but it serves up excellent vocal clarity and room-filling projection, and is a bargain now for Prime Day. LG 55-inch C4 OLED (2024) was £1900 now £1239 at Amazon (save £761)
LG's C4 OLED is one of the year's TV highlights so far; our TV testers love the 65-inch and 42-inch models, which gives me confidence that the 55-inch size will be just as appealing. Its picture quality sets the benchmark and its gaming specification remains flawless. Last year's model, the C3, is down to £999 for Prime Day, but our TV editor was recently blown away by the improvements the C4 brings, so in my mind spending the extra £239 would be worthwhile.

I wouldn't typically recommend a product I've never tested, but I've been a user and big fan of Astell & Kern's music players, love head-fi gear in general, and, well, this heavily knocked down price (£50 cheaper than a recently listed price, but £1450 less than its 2022 launch price) is intriguing, to say the least. In a nutshell, the Acro CA1000 is a Bluetooth headphone amp and music player combined, offering a complete all-in-one desktop system for wired headphones.

These Award-winning earbuds have just been replaced by a new WF-C510 variant, but that doesn't mean they should be overlooked this Prime Day. At just £35, they're less than half the price we originally tested them at, making them an absolute steal. Expect a comfortable fit, compact size and a "spirited, well-balanced sound". You don't get active noise cancelling with these models, but for £35 can you really complain?
