Futureglass Gem (Separates) review

It sounded wonderful with our test kit, but Futureglass's Gem suffered greatly from poor build quality Tested at £500.00

What Hi-Fi? Verdict

It sounded good, but the build quality was abysmal

Pros

  • +

    Good sound

  • +

    subtle dynamics

  • +

    tonally accomplished

Cons

  • -

    Appalling build quality

The wood and glass GEM has a cable management system.

On it, our kit serves up a sound full of body and subtle dynamics.

Detailing is good, while the sweet midrange is bracketed by a detailed treble and ponderous bass.

However, our sample was badly made and prone to fall apart, and that fundamental lack of design quality means it loses out.
