I've own the 5009 for a year now and agree with WHSV that's a great ampfor AV and suprisingly ( for and AV amp ) stereo. I am currently using a Kef iq90 fronted ( with an extra subwoofer )surround speaker system, which though very good, I have become curious whether I canimprove upon the Kefs.
Could you suggest any other surround speaker packages I should auditionthat can maximise the Onkyo capability ?
Well with an amp this good you should be looking st something like the KEF R100 5.1 (if you want to stick with KEF) or the B&W CM9 Theatre.

I own Monitor Audio Apex 5.1.Which receiver better to choose - tx-nr5009 or Denon avr-4311?I know thats depends on my taste,but wich will drive my Apex better?

Yes, should work with the Apex speakers no problem.
Hi is this a better reciever than the Pioneer Lx85 not considering money purely peformance.
