Great turntable and arm package. Match with a good cartridge and you have one of the very best record players at this price level

I've heard this piece of kit at the LHR show and can confirm it is indeed worth every penny. It did not do bad against its 28k Jubilee brother either.

Import is accuracy of timing and environmental isolation. At the show an RDC puck was used as well to further dampen unwanted vibration. Genius, works a treet.

Sadly I'd already invested in my TT and have bought some cones and a mat and modified it - massive improvement.  Wish I'd bought the Thorens instead.

As for looks I close my eyes when listening and so do not care.. as for clunky gear changes who cares, beats changing a belt.

Love it love it love it.

I  started saving  about £100 a month to buy a Thorens TD160HD since this review. Now checking prices Hifi gear £2055.31,Audio Affair £3495. the price seems to gone up £495 plus. now i will not be buying one any more Its not good value for money any more.

I've been using this TT for about a year now, starting with the original arm, but recently with a new Michell Technoarm. The cartridge is an Ortofon 2M Black.

The detail it extracts is great, voices sounded very realistic, mid/treble is vibrant without being strident or harsh and the bass is strong without booming.

As per the review it's ease of use is brilliant, takes minimal set up and fiddling, and I'm in the minority that loves the looks.

In summary, a great turntable at this price - just wish the lid had hinges !
