Just BOUGHT the 1050! The build quality is simply superb with a very effective 'granite' finish to the edge of the player. The reverse side has a 'pearl black' finish and the front is well...virtually all screen! Talking of the screen the definition and colours produced by this little OLED marvel are wonderfully rich and detailed...photos and video have excellent depth and texture. But its the sound quality that just makes you stop in your tracks (which is perhaps somewhat contrary to the principle of the 'Walkman'!) There's weight, there's detail, there's musical sounds you've never heard from your MP3's/AAC's before! The music simply envelops you. To this end the noise cancelling earbuds work an absolute treat. There are a number of settings to maximise the effectiveness of the NC (office, bus, plane)and they make a considerable difference to the amount of background noise you are able to hear. I walked down a busy high street full of people and cars and heard almost nothing...but music! A little disconcerting at first I must admit! In addition there is an FM tuner and internet access. These are perhaps the two least important features to me but i'll give the internet access a go. In terms of software its all a doddle...drag and drop from iTunes, WMP and anything on your PC. Lovely!
