Could i suggest that another review be done on this perhaps the opportunity to review the 55hx753 it would appear there's many conflicts the 853 is supposed to be so good and yet so many reviews rate the 753 very low is there such a huge difference the opinion seams to be yes i cant decide between the 853 (best but high price) or the 753 (price ok but quality ??) then there's the panasonic 50st50b (good price, gd qlty, but high power and only 50") the 55" price is still a little high i would prefer the lcd 55" over the 50" plasma and i'm not huge on sports but being a guitar player music video playback is high priority as is the 2d and 3d movie quality i don't play many games and don't watch broadcast tv at all if anyone has any info or help on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Iam not convince this set is as good as the Hx853.....to give it a five star rating is misleading. Home cinema choice have reviewed it at tech radar and had issues with this set. Buyers beware.
To give it 5 star review is misleading? Another company had issues with it? No HDTV is perfect Gamemaker but in my veiw this one comes very close. Buyers beware? Unless you have seen this tv in person and checked it out how can YOU make a claim like that? I think the review was good and the 5 star is well deserved and this is coming from a guy who owns the American version of this tv.
so your going by hearsay, not actual hands-on experience? also you say your not convinced...well your advice for buyers to beware is also misleading,yeah...if you actually read the review the reviewer says "while it lacks some of the supernatural subtley & nuance of its more expensive sibling the KDL46-HX853" & they also criticise the sound compared to the HX853. This suggests that they reckon the HX853 is the better tv.
these days a tv 40in up should be set up with an AVR,pre/power amp combo anyhow. Much more enjoyable experience for that new bluray/dvd movie or HD stream.
" To criticise a flatscreen for the poverty of its sound is rather like objecting to a tiger on the basis of its stripes, though – that’s just how things are. "
Hahahahaha....who ever reviewed this,I liked these lines:)....

The AVR-X2000 brings Denon back to the AV receiver top table in this ultra-competitive price category
A decent, affordable effort from Otone but sound quality is tainted by a distracting brightness
Chord’s QBD76 HDSD is a top-class converter that delivers a brilliant sound from a well-built package. It has plenty of visual appeal, too
