Can someone please confirm thatif the 770 can upscale streaming video over my home LAN? I really need that feature and found the extract below in another review. WhatHifi .. you did not mention it in your review, but did you test for this functionality? I have asked Sony...but got a non-commital answer.... Thanks
"The BDP-S770 can upscale standard resolutions to a higher image quality during streaming video or while playing standard DVDs using Sony’s proprietary IP Content Noise Reduction technology and Precision Cinema HD Upscaling."
Come on Sony give us a BDP-770 with onboard decoding and Multi outputs, or the software upgrade for 3D on our BDP-760 players, that I was told that by one of your dealers would be available. This was the only thing that made me buy one, I feel sadly let down by you as a company.
Except that you can pick up a BDP-570 for about £170 which makes the difference over £100, unless of course you go to the US where a BDP-S770 is about $223 on amazon, so about £140 which magically is exactly half price, even with State tax ... Oh no, not someone else wittering on again about how much cheaper technology is in the States.

ive seen the 760 model going for £99 .. is that a better buy if you take the online features out of teh equation than the 370 ?
