These Shures aren't only a colourful upgrade but a sound investment, too

the headphones are great, sound is excellent and crisp and maintains clarity at high volume...

... however the cable really lets down these 'phones. the headphone cable is really short but Shure do suppply an extension piece taking them to normal length. the connector for this extension isnt small or weightless meaning that the headphones are constantly pulling down on your ears due to the weight of the connector which is really uncomfortable. also the jack appears to be poor as after about 3 months sound would only come out of one ear as one of the cables inside the connector came loose. i sent the extension cable off for replacement under warranty and the replacement did the same after a few months.

i guess ill have to keep getting it replaced until the 2 year warranty expires then bin them for something better.

SUCH an awful shame ... fantastic headphones RUINED by a poor cable.

Sort it out SHURE !!!

Very Dissappointed with these, from first out of the box the cable design if annoying. The maincable from the headphones is only about 20cm long and an extension cable is provided to connect the headphones to the music device.

With each different ear bud cover the nosie cancellation is very poor, outside noise is not supressed at all so the sound from the headphones is not as clear as it should be.

Bass response is very poor, my 4 year old ones which are like the SCL2's. I'll be sendign these back to swap them for the SE102's definatley not a 5 star product in my opinion
