Sennheiser HD595

I got the Sennheiser HD595s about 6 months ago to replace a pair of Grado SR80i, which I loved. Unfortuntely the build quality on the Grados meant I only had them for a year or so and was looking for something with a better build quality. I have also found that they leak like a sieve, much more so than the Grados.

While they have a great build quality the sound is good but not brilliant. They sound a little washed out and the bass is lacking compared to the Grados. 

If you're going to use them with an iPod you will also need a decent portable headphone amp.

Finally, a note of caution. Because they have a 1/4" jack on the end and the adapter supplied is just a barrel one, I would suggest getting a short adapter cable. I was using them with my laptop, dropped the laptop, busted the headphone jack.

But other than that, fantastic build quality, decent sound and really comfortable. 

love them, ever since i bought these HD 595 about 8 years ago i also bought earbuds from sennheiser because they product and sound quality are simply best, light, detailed and accessible! bought yesterday the white upgrade model HD 598... lets not forget the assistance i get for free when i want to change parts (foam or cord) = 5* !

Truly awesome cans and you can easily wear them all day long, well comfy!
