looks good but started switching itself off after two weeks. I thought it was me initially but the 'switch offs' now happen in minutes rather than hours. Rang Samsung who confirmed that the set is faulty so back it will go for a full refund.
I have just watched a recorded film right through without problem so am confused. The quirky behaviour is therefore limited to freeview input and may be linked to signal problems e.g. weak/dropped. Has anyone else had this experience? You would expect the TV to simply say 'weak or lost signal' but .......
More quirks:- jumped to youtube on itxs own, switched off when setting up a series recording, switched off during a programme and navigation occasionally fools the set and it 'loses its place' and blanks out parts of the guide.
The set has been returned and my thanks to Electronic Empire, Handsworth, Birmingham for their prompt refund.

Who ever came up with the deign of this stand should stand in the corner with his hands on his head and count to 100 as there are no stands out there that are wide enough for this tv to stand on ok it looks great but it's to wide shame
The Atacama Elara AV 1500 will be more than wide enough – as, for example, would the IKEA Lack TV bench
Where is the mention of clouding and torchlighting on these panels? Do you test it in a dark room? Such a high score for a panel that doesn't even have the best viewing angles is a little odd? There seems to be way too much focus on the "smart" features and not the panel itself.

A great amp with some notable musical skills, but it loses a star compared with its better-performing, better-specified rivals
Another admirable and attractive soundbar from LG, pipped to that fifth star by fierce competition
The large screen and punchy picture are highly attractive for this price, but you’ll have to forego the smart features and Full HD resolution
