I heard them the first time in a musicstore in Köln (Germany) playing "Light my Fire" from the "Modern Cool" album of Patricia Barber. I was totally overwhelmed by the richness and definition of their sound. And the most astonishing thing is the capability of delivering a rich sound with plenty of bass. I drive them with DNM pre amp and DNM power amp (2 x 30W !) in a small room (12 m2). Absolutly fantastic!
Superb speakers that really are unfussy about placement. They're are a different breed to anything Spendor have done before (at least that I've heard!) and they really can rock when hooked up with the right amp. Spendor recommended the Cyrus 8vs2 amp upwards, with the XPower really making them sing. A word of warning though, they're rather power hungry so aim for 60W+.
These are keepers and will bless my ears for many years to come.
