Product of the Year, Awards 2011. Best internet radio up to £150+. A good sounding table radio, and a pleasure to use thanks to its touchscreen control system
Got one of these a couple of weeks ago for the bedroom. Its an impressive piece of kit with alot of functionality. Touch screen is nice and quite easy to use and although you dont quite have to have 'pinheads' for fingers, some of the buttons are quite small. Internet radio is good and allows a number of ways to search for stations you may like. Connecting to the network was easy and it could find all my NAS stored music. Streaming was a bit hit and miss via my wi-fi network, but thats just down to the poor network speed than the Axis. When the wi-fi allows, the sound is good. When playing at higher volumes you get some resonance from the clip-in dock cover (which can be fixed with a little blu-tac!).Biggest disappointment was the DAB tuner which (compared to my Pure Evoke Flow)isnt that great. Here in the NW (UK)I struggled to pick up some stations, which was poor. Overall though, I am very happy with the Axis
