I have owned this amp for a year now and I must say it has far exceeded my expectations.
Currently it's hooked up to a Rega Apollo CD player with excellent results.
The review is wrong about the bottom end, I have always found it to be full and focused.
I can only assume when reviewed it was running through some inadequate speakers.
Further to this I've noticed them cropping up used now for around £150 which makes them the amplifier bargain of the moment.
Buy one and like me you won't regret it!
If you want high quality amplification then you must look at the Brio 3. True, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it looks fantastic parked on the rack, it's very well built with a solid and sturdy feel about it and most importantly it sounds absolutely fantastic. If you're into big numbers then 49w and £330 wont impress you but if you want your music to thrill then you'd been daft not to audition this amp.

A great amp with some notable musical skills, but it loses a star compared with its better-performing, better-specified rivals
Another admirable and attractive soundbar from LG, pipped to that fifth star by fierce competition
The large screen and punchy picture are highly attractive for this price, but you’ll have to forego the smart features and Full HD resolution
