not sure if this is me being thick but with this cable would i be able to connect my laptop/pc headphone slot to my dac? the headphone slot says spdif on it. been using the usb connection up until now but ive just bought the musical fidelity m1 dac and i want to know if i can connect my laptop to it via coaxial. want to get the full 192khz signal.
It depends on the laptop/pc, but if it's a headphone socket any 'hidden' digital out is going to be optical, not electrical/coaxial. The M1 DAC has an optical input, so that'll be fine, and you'll need an optical cable with a mini-TOSlink plug at the computer end and a standard optical connector at the DAC end.

The uPlay Plus sounds disappointing and doesn’t offer great value for money
As gorgeous on the inside as it is on the out, the One (M8) doesn’t put a foot wrong, which makes it a very desirable handset indeed
A stunning looking speaker, but one that doesn’t have the ‘wow’ sound or usability to boot
