It's stylish and fine sounding - but there are better at this price

The sound has opened up a little bit, after a few days playing. It is still neither spacious nor naturalistic in its reproduction. Frequency response is a little uneven. On the plus side it is quite smooth and certainly doesn't have any of the tinniness associated with an old style portable. I was lucky enough to pay only £50 on ebay and would not be keen to pay any more!

The sound is really poor. Essentially the speaker is in an enclosed cabinet and it really restricts its free movement, causing it to sound muffled. A really closed sound. The Bush at £50 has better sound. There are no tone controls to boost the treble which is really lacking. Consequently the 4 star rating is too high.

It should also be mentioned that the suede surround does not stay clean for very long.
