Pure Digital Evoke-3

I have owned this model for about 3 years,an excellent reliable quality product.I recently replaced my Evoke 1s with the Evoke 2s.I switched on expecting a better sound than the aforementioned.I was totally gobsmacked by the phenomenalsound it produces,turning up the volume to a uncomfortable level fails to produce any distortion.Plenty of features including Base and Treble controls as well as input for Ipod. The Evoke 2s is leagues ahead of the Evoke3. Not unimportantly there is a massive price differential,£135 for the 2S which is a whopping £65 cheaper.
