The world of home cinema waits for no manufacturer – this Panasonic remains a fine prospect but has been knocked off the very top

I already have this player, I purchased it specifically for it's analogue output, to an older receiver. I have to say it's performance is great, and the new HD sound tracks are awesome. Another great Panasonic product.

i heard there was lip sync problems with the analogue inputs ?. Im interested in getting one but all the reviews ive read people have said they have experienced too many prob using the analogue inputs

I all so have this Fantastic blu-ray player. I got this to go with a new Panasonic TX-P42G10 and the two together are very good better then good. The sound and pic are lovely you wont be sorry when you buy this blu-ray. It's taken watching movies to a hole new level for me and i can't stop watching blu-ray films now. I love panasonic in my mind they make the best hd tv's and dvd players.

I bought this player on recommendation of What Hi Fi. It was a 5 star product. I have 2 areas of unhappiness with the unit. First I think the loading times are painful! Secondly the layer change is very evident in both DVD and Blu ray playback. Sometime the pause is considerable. I eally would of thought that the DVD lay change would of been semmless as with all modern DVD players! As for playback quality once running it is awesome! I also think that the built in Divx play back if very poor, so if this is to be your media hub for all forats thnk again with the Divx file there are better solutions!

Having had a first generation Blu-Ray player in the form of the Sony BDP-S1E, I thought it was high time to move on to a new player as the Sony was a) very, very, very slow at loading discs and b) not compatible with most new Blu-Ray titles.

The Panasonic DMP-BD80 is in my opinion an excellent player. It was a piece of cake to set up, the ethernet connection worked straight away (first thing I did was a firmware update). Coupled to my BOSE 1.2.3 lifestyle AV system, and a Sony 32" Bravia TV, the picture is excellent and sound very crisp, especially with the "Clarity" feature enabled.

As for slow loading, compared to the old Sony this is much quicker. For a mid-range deck I give it 4.5 stars. (Cost - now £300 from Comet)
