I have Neat Motive 1 speakers bi-amped with 2 Quad 909s. Sounds terrific! Pre-amp is good old Krell KRC-3 and digital sources are Mac Mini going through Quad CDP-2 DAC.

I have a pair of neat Motive 1 speakers hooked up to a Moon I3r amp and Moon Equinox CD player and they sound superb.

Be interested to know what the reviwer was using the speakers with because I have tried them with Niam Supernait and Niam CD and a Cyrus set up and also a Plenius set up they sound good with all of them although I found the Cyrus equipment a little too bright for my taste. I fell in love with the sound when coupled to the Moon equipment although would say that good quality speaker cable is a must to get a result I use Chord Epic.
