Even at this modest price-point, anything but ‘very good indeed’ just doesn’t cut it, and the MJs don’t have the competence of others

What's happening here, in our opinion - based on comparative testing with a wide range of products - is that rival products offer better performance-per-pound proposition.

That doesn't mean the MJ Acoustics products are bad (far from it), just that the competition offers more for the money.

We have given MJ Acoustics products five-star ratings:

and i'm sure we will do again if they can match or outperform their rivals.

I find it interesting that the same speaker package that you awarded solid 4 stars to less than 2 years ago, now only recieves 2 stars!!! I have listened to the Xeno speaker and sub set and do not agree with your assesment. They are neutral sounding (like a good speaker should be) where no one frequnecy stands out. They also offer a good level of detail and soundstage, without being fatiquing and the sound from the setup compares very favourably to speaker systems of several times their value.

I suspect that there is more to the poor review than meets the eye. It is interesting to note that you also gave a poor 3 star review to the MJA Pro 55...which a much better product than this result suggests. A company that has produced several 5 star products suddenly doesn't start producing bad products....what's happening here???
