MJ Acoustics Pro 55 Mk1

PRO 55 MK I  this is the new BIG DADDY of the PRO series in the MJ Acoustics line up.

I first listened to it as a musical sub ...  again the same unmistakably unique MJ ACOUSTIC characteristic sound that underpin all MJ ACOUSTICS subs and that really separates  them from the rest of the SUBS from other brands ...that is : clean tight bass with slam and bass weight ....but this ONE ?  ...HEAPS MORE OF EVERYTHING ....at low volumes YES but the real SHINE is on  LOUDER  listening levels ...it just keeps on going to add more and more as you  turn up the volume...fantastic! Why do you need a big floorstander and big amps at huge cost to drive them if you can get the same .. NO BETTER..  with this sub and a small quality bookshelf speaker at a 1/10 of the price ?!!  

But wait there more .. I took it down to the HT room and invite my wife to come and listen as well .(.we love live recorded musical DVD's) .....  I set it up basically using the same settings as for music and start the SHOW..... We looked at each other and I could see the disbelieve in her eyes ... we were SHOCKED  We know that track so well and she said ..that must be how it would sound in real life ..  I tuned the subs volume up another notch to only 35% ....and the power and massiveness  of the bass thumped at our chests.....we heard things like double bass ..different types of bass .....different types of slam ...totally separate of one another ..not a single rumble of all instruments stuffed together like with most subs ... I turned up the main volume of my Amp ...and we sit back and listened track after track ..we could not stop ...never want to turn the volume down..because nothing irritated us ..it was all enjoyment ...and when we stopped ..we felt a bit disappointed ... and a few second later I realised what it was.... we want an encore !!!! ..Yes we was waiting for the encore ..!!!

I only heard this type of bass with my NZ$3000 JAMO D6 and NZ$4500 PARADIGM SEVO 15 ....both 15" bass drivers at 4 x the power ...... The PRO 55 mk I must be the best bargain in SUB WOOFER HISTORY !!!..  Definately 5 STARS !!
