Mission 790SE

I've been a fan of Cyrus and Mission kit for a while now. Recently I found myself in the market for a pair of attractive stand mounters and of course I turned to my local hif shop in Melbourne for a listen of the 790's.

I wanted the Missions to match my otehr surplus kit

Visually I found the speakers very attractive but after a listen I found the responsiveness of these units very flat indeed and almost harsh to the ear.

I understand Mission have just released a new range (the MX) so I'll have to wait to see if the new ones improve matters otherwise I'll have to look at older second hand units.
