Why the criticism for slow loading times? You sit down and watch a film for on average 2 hours, so who cares if it takes 10, 20, 30 or more seconds to play!
Had to be an NBO in here eventually. (nothing but oppo-btw) Some owners are even hurt that marantz uses simular video processers....must be awful trying to sleep knowing this!
hi all..I am a Sales Person of Denon marantz just 1 week b4 this arrived in our outlets..its just a AED 2999/- .Getting well comments btwn customers
all very interesting, just got mine 3 weeks ago and its brilliant for both 3D pictures and sound, even the HiFi sounds very good. i bought mine having read some reviews and forum inputs, however the demo in store versus it's competition was the real seller - differences were obvious
Hey toots - your review makes intersting reading. I am in the process of buying one fo these and have been to my local shop for what i thought was a great demo. From reading your review i am now concerned i tmay not sound as good at home. I defintiely now want a home trial before buying - my local shop does not offer this though - can you tell me where you got yours from?
Recently had the Marantz UD7006 on a three week sale or return trial. Sorry, I thought it was not worth the money. The sound from the CD side was flat, clinical and uninteresting (certainly not "exciting" as WH said!), SACD was the same, just dull and uninviting. Picture was fine (I don't use 3D) but so are a lot of other players. So it didn't blow my socks off!! Now the Oppo BD95, that is just amazing and am really pleased with it. Still it's only my opinion!! FYI, I was using the internal decoders on both machines.
Don't know the Oppo but have to agree with you. Blu-ray playback is fine but I found CD and especially SACD playback very disappointing.
I bought one of these a week ago.
The picture in any format is very good. However it's the sound where this unit excels, cd, dvd bluray, sacd or DVD Audio, they all sound amazing.
One draw back i'm having during DVD or Bluray playback the picture pauses for a second randomly through out the film.
Whathifi, did you notice this during the test????
It's people like you who'll ensure I remain a bachelor. Come Sep when Star Wars is released on Blu-ray....
The five stars are fully deserved. I ordered mine last year and collected it in March. The sound reproduction from CD is sublime and the upscaling of DVD excellent. Scenes in Lord of the Rings in Rivendel show loads of detail. Blu-ray pictures are nothing short of brilliant! All this and I haven't even got a full HD TV yet. Can't wait! The price tag is worth EVERY PENNY!!

There’s a lot to like about the Eole 3, but its lean bass will doubtless be an issue for some
A system with stacks of detail, but its laid-back nature loses too much excitement for our liking
The Note 8.0 might have been a great tablet once, but now it looks outclassed and outdated
