A fine system for movies, and a must-hear if a spacious, room-filling sound is your main priority

I recently purchased the KHT3005SE-K2 and I'm very pleased with it. It's a matter of personal taste, of course, but I prefer the look of the KUBE-2 over that of the HTB2...clean, simple lines...nice geometric shape. The HTB2 looks a bit too busy for my taste, and the illuminated KEF logo on top is rather gimmicky.

Also, I prefer to hide the driver behind a cover, just as I do with the satellite speakers. Naked drivers bother me.

The KUBE-2 delivers more bass punch (thanks to its greater displacement volume), and since I watch movies primarily, this is perfect. However, if you want a more "musical" sub, then the HTB2 is the better choice.

Notably, the KUBE-2 has additional controls that are lacking in the HTB2:  a Crossover Frequency Control and a Level Control. This is important to me because my Nakamichi AV-10 receiver has neither control for the subwoofer.

I love these speakers. They look great and they sound great. They're a perfect match for my décor.
