Too bad they didn't keep the dedicated center, that was REALLY good on the previous set. I do really like the metal grill though.
One big suprise to me is the note about low volume playback: that was actually one of the biggest strength's of the previous set, it played beautiful on low volume??
How does this compare to the Monitor Audio MASS?
I think the MASS has a more agile and precise presentation, but not quite the sense of authority or the refinement of the KEFs. The choice depends on the rest of your system and the kind of presentation you prefer.
What is a recommended amplifier for this set
Sony's STR-DN1040 would be a good partner.
How do they compare to 3005SE condiering they had a dedicated centre speaker, cheers
From memory I'd say they're fairly similar in presentation. The new ones are a little cleaner sounding and more cohesive because the centre speaker is essentially the same as the others. The downside is a slight loss of centre speaker authorty due to the smaller enclosure and loss of additional drivers.

Next-gen gaming is a glorious reality but you’ll have to make do without some last-gen features
The original X 300 was a great power amplifier. This Signature version is clearly better
If you want an affordable 8in tablet then this is worth a look – but there are too many flaws in its performance for us to really recommend it
