Correction to my previous comment: the supplied speaker is mentioned and gets a good rating.
I am sure the street price of this set will be lower than the �2000 quoted and, hopefully, JVC will also make it available with larger screens.
It would have been helpful to mention how good the supplied speaker is, even if the majority of owners will run this set through a separate sound system.
I believe JVC plans to offer a series of tuner/DVD/recorder boxes that will slot in behind the screen so that owners can customise the set.
Having seen it at the IFA this really is a fantastic looking piece of equipment. When it comes to which one I would want at home, the JVC or the Philips, it is a hands down, no-brainer.
