I've got one of these which I imported from China. It is possible to change the op-amp inside, they even supply a screwdriver and several sets of op-amps so it is possible to get the sound you like from this amp.
The comparison DACs are all mains powered desktop DACs so not really fair comparisons I'd say. I like my D10 and think it is good value for money. It makes listening in the office much more fun.
