This is a very strong and authentic looking device. Plenty of power under the hood, screen is really sharp battery is adequate enough for normal use. But I think the smartphone industry needs to step up now and push the boundaries. There is never enough change from model to model. Normally an extra 1Gb bigger screen and better camera. Need something new.
My opinion is that HTC ONE`s build quality is obviously better than Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S3 / S4 and anything else in that price range.Unfortunately, there is no way I can compare audio quality, since it has no memory slot.I have deep trust in Whathifi experts, as I was extremely happy with AKG K450, especially with flac / wav files. My question would be, sound quality wise, should I go for the Galaxy S3, or HTC ONE with those headphones, how big is the difference? Sound quality is most important to me, especially if I can use the combo : smartphone + Arcam rPac + AKG K450.
We have a clear preference for the sound of the HTC One over the S3/S4. It sounds more rhythmic and entertaining.
I don't think it has to compete with Apple.
As the owner and user of both an HTC One X and an Apple iPhone 5 I can safely say that the One X and my previous Desire HD are better in most ways than the iPhone. The iPhone has one of the best cameras and a very nice screen and is good for music, but not as good as my Creative MP3 player (IMO). Beyond that it's an iPod that can make calls, its OS is simply an app-launcher. Current Android is in a whole different league than the rather tired iOS operating system.
"Camera could be better" - what clueless person was doing the testing?
As technical reviews have shown - the One has the best camera currently available on a phone, giving execellent photos & video.
If you're going to review a product make sure the review is given to someone with sufficient technical ability.
We judged the camera by looking at the pictures produced, not by the technical specifications.
A glowing review which incredibly omits a single mention of battery performance which has dogged this companies phone models. I was a very happy desire HD user but now have an S3 as i can change the battery and add additional storage.

There’s a lot to like about the Eole 3, but its lean bass will doubtless be an issue for some
A system with stacks of detail, but its laid-back nature loses too much excitement for our liking
The Note 8.0 might have been a great tablet once, but now it looks outclassed and outdated
