Yeah... the PS500's have about 85-90% of the sound of the PS1000's, especially with the G Cushions (stadium pads) of the PS1000's. They have it all... bass, mids, highs, soundstage, imaging, tone, tenor, texture, dynamics, PRAT... and... most importainly the "emotion" of "real, live, pure music!" Very few other phones, even come close! And... after all... that is the only test that counts.
I have one pair of these. Can agree with the review. It's almost impossible to turn a spinning cd of before it finishes it's fun indeed.
But don't really understand the lack of detail. I've owned some very different systems. Some very pricey. With these headphones I can hear things in my cds that I've never discovered!
