Takes a MicroSim in a cradle at the side.It is an open design which means if you are cutting down a normal SIM and take too much off then it will fall through.
I would like to know where you can get this for £239, o2 is showing £399 for the 16GB !
It's £239 for the 8GB model bought directly from Google.
@landzw Perhaps I should say 'spot the IOS fanboy' in a right back at you buddy kind of way? But I won't as I don't know the facts about you, and neither do you about me. So you should probably keep your accusing opinions to yourself don't you think? Apple products are overpriced relative to the quality and functionality they possess. That's a statement of fact as this phone and many other products prove conclusively. For the record I do not own a single Android device. My not very smart smartphone is Sony Satio bought for the quality of it's camera not because it runs Symbian. So there... merry xmas.
@ Dazmb Merry Christmas to you Too
Sorry i get fedup of people having to slag others off regardless of manufacturer because without them we would be years behind than what we are now, its not like we are coming up with something great and pushing the world forward
No offence taken, perhaps you could just let others' comments go? Especially when they were not directed at any individual and were written slightly tongue in cheek.... I do know some Apple lovers are in particular highly sensitive to any criticism of their 'God' devices... perhaps that's the fun
I can't agree that without Apple we would be years behind where we are today. Perhaps a little behind, that's all. Working in IT over the last decade and more I remember years before Apple stole the show that PDA's were getting reasonably slick with Windows mobile and Palm OS starting to look and behave like a modern OS.
Post Wozniak technically Apple have not been very inventive, although their alleged patent-breaking lawsuit throwing nasty legal dept would have us believe otherwise. Apple did not invent the smartphone, the mobile OS, mobile music player, tablet or anything else of the sort. They are however very adept at packaging up multiple functionality in a slick shiny product with software that works well for the average Joe on the highstreet. And for that (and only that) I admire them, and more importantly their marketing deptartment which must be considered the best in the world. Very few companies can get punters to pay well over the odds for quality and functionality they can get elsewhere for substanially less - like this Google phone which brings us back full circle. Deep down you have to say fair play to Apple for coaxing the $$'s out of people year in year out for the i-device upgrade gravy train.
Of course Apple are not alone in not being very inventive - Microsoft are not so much better, but in the end it's just the blatant hyperbole of Apple's self proclaimed innovation hype and subsequent petty lawsuits that has become so nauseating of late.
A very interesting watch and sums up all Apple's non-inventions in one place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFeC25BM9E0
PC Pro like the Nexus 4 as well
Yep, looking at most reviews across the net are all positive with only small downfalls e.g battery, no sd slot and only 8gb of storage for base model which really aren't a problem for most
Spot the Android FanBoy, why cant people make a comment without slagging others off?
Anyway nexus 4 looks an interesting phone, not sure on the front design from the picture but i will be for sure taking a look at one as the price is hard to ignore.
The review does not state that the phone has no removeable battery and no SD card slot. They're deal-breakers for many and it's currently what puts me off buying the phone.
"All this at half the price of an iPhone 5!"
Not surprising considering that all Apple products are at least 30-40% overpriced compared to the often better competition.
Apple is the rip-off shepherd, their fanbois consumers the loyal but stupid sheep.....
All this at half the price of an iPhone 5! It's even cheaper than an iPhone 4 or 4S...
The review is for the 8gb version and not the 16 gb, i think without looking the 16gb version is £279 but still its a good price
For me i would find the 8gb just fine as i stream most things now

Next-gen gaming is a glorious reality but you’ll have to make do without some last-gen features
The original X 300 was a great power amplifier. This Signature version is clearly better
If you want an affordable 8in tablet then this is worth a look – but there are too many flaws in its performance for us to really recommend it
