Trying everything out at home is much prefered, as always. However this requires a lot of time an effort, thus making forums like this a fun and easy option. After all, that is what forums are for. If anyone have gotten the chance to experiment with backwall placement, it would be great if they would share some thoughts. And in this case, especially perhaps the reviewer
These are my #1 loudspeakers to listen too and eventually to buy.
From what I've read on the X12 & X16 reviews, these could be very well placed close to the backwall.
Just need to find out yourself in your own listening-room conditions. (as usual)
Heard these with hegel amplification. Hegel being very neutral, clear and dynamic. Probably similar to musical fidelity. It sounded wonderfull! Amongst the best I've heard. The music had a nice reassurance, or calmness, to it but at the same time a lot of details and a powerfull baseline. Rockmusic was not a problem at all.
Dynaudio usually advice placement at least 50cm from the back wall, even for the smallest speakers. According to this, I can barely fit them into my listeningroom! Does the new and larger port mean it can be placed closer to the backwall? How did this work out during the test period?
Is there a link somewhere to read the original review from which this was Google-translated into English?

This is a top-notch surround package for the money. It’s a worthy alternative to the award-winning KEF R100 5.1
A great amp with some notable musical skills, but it loses a star compared with its better-performing, better-specified rivals
Another admirable and attractive soundbar from LG, pipped to that fifth star by fierce competition
