Which speakers are best for vocals for denon n7,now i am using qacoustics 2010 speakers now. I belong to india.Monitor audio bx2 cost around 400 pounds and B&w 685 costs around 600 pounds in india. Thanks in advance.
Time for a quick review after owning the Ceol for some time. I am really pleased with my purchase, the price was good @ £350.
Set up was very easy, I just went patiently through the instructions and all upgrades were no problem, including AirPlay.
Over all I find the usability very intuitive.
Pleasing features. Plug your iPad into the front USB port allows You play tunes straight into the Denon, a plus is that Spotify works perfectly, no timing out issues.
If you are streaming Spotify to the Denon using AirPlay the current tracks playing are displayed on the Denon which is a feature I wasn't expecting, and very usefull it is! The iPads volume also controls the Denon whilst in AirPlay mode. All tracks are displayed when streaming iTunes as well.
Internet radio works as it should.
The Denon is a match IMOP for most seperates under a grand from a sound quality perspective. I have them hooked up to some Monitor Audio BX2
The Denon is also not powere hungry for the money saving conscious.
a big pat on the back for me and my considered purchase.
"One has to wonder how many different ways one needs to connect an iPod: having a dedicated dock as well as a digital USB connection seems a bit like overkill"
Well, that's because not everyone has an Ipod, there are some intelligent consumers out there that have not sucummed to Apple hype. They have made a balanced decision to not buy something double the price of a normal digital music player, just because everyone else has one and they are "fashionable"
Here here. I have been looking into having one of these for a while now but few if any manufactures actually tell you if the USB port is compatible with anything other than Ipod. I have been holding off because of uncertainty over the USB port.
Even tried to post a question on the forums tonight but for some reason it didn't work.
I have had this system for some 6 months now and can vouch that with a decent pair of speakers (NOT the ones that it comes with) I cannot pick any difference from Lossless AAC via Airplay or iPod or iPhone or a CD source. I can tell the difference from a 128kb source though, and have been busy updating my iTunes library to Lossless for weekends now as it works fantastically via the Remote Airplay App and iTunes.

The Q Acoustics 2020i is our Best Buy speaker under £200. They cost around £145 in the UK, not sure how much they are in India.

The USB socket can alse be used to play music from USB memory devices – thumb drives, memory keys, memory sticks, whatever you choose to call them.

Thank you for the review.
I'd like to know, is there a difference in quality between CD playback and a CD ripped to a lossless file and played through the iPod dock?
Also, if streaming the same file, why does Airplay cause a drop in quality?
