Upgraded to an 8XP in Dec following 16 happy yrs with my Cyrus 3. Sonically the 8xp is a significant improvement on the Cyrus 3 of course and in my opinion offered a more detailed presentation than the Naim XS, especially when used with a PSX-R.
Disappointingly in less than four months I have already had a fault (flashing red LED) that is not covered in the trouble shooting section of the user guide.
The amp was sent back to Cyrus for repair (FOC under warranty) however it's just just come back and now doesn't power up at all. Hopefully it's second return will sort the issue but for a new £1,300 amp it's bitterly frustrating, hence the post!
