I'm using this device to connect the HTPC (Antec) to my Yamaha stereo amplifier.
Sound quality comes very close to my Pioneer DV444 DVD player, but misses a little bit of a punch. (just al little). But it is way better than connecting the soundcard of the PC to the amp!
Some noise is there, but is negligible compared to the noise of the cooling fans of the HTPC.
A very good and economic choice to connect a PC to a 2 channel Amp.

It works!
Bought from audiovideonline to £ 39.99, excellent service.
LCD TV feels very good in my old amp,
and I can listen to my music cds with my old DVD player in a decent way.

Are CYP connected in any way to Cyrus? The logo looks very familiar both with the name, font and the 3 stripes....
You can try. What's there to lose?
It's great to see reviews of inexpensive toys/gadgets.

Your right. Just noticed it on the Richer Sounds website too. Will pop down to my local RS and give it a spin.

Agree.
Wow. From the review this seems perfect for a setup I'm currently thinking of:
TV > CA 650BD > CA650A > Speakers
Would this be a good fit between the TV and Amp for playing back BBC iPlayer (music programmes/cath-up Radio), Love Film online rental, YouTube, etc.?
Meaning would it be a significant improvement over connecting the TV via RCA-RCA?
Thanks
