it works.

I don't know why but it does.

a nice upgrade along with interconnects and speaker cable.

tried this against the newer russ andrews power max t cable and preferred the russ andrews cable with my plasma ,,,

so much more detail then before with the standard mains lead! i can hear things on music dvd's not haven't been heard before! brilliant!

Bought this cable after reading the reviews on what HiFi for my Sky Plus Box. The results were staggering. The picture was so clear and Bold and  colours were very much improved. A steal for £35.

Please check your connection though on your T.V or HiFi as the cable comes with a standard IEC Connector. Figure of eight connector can be purchased for £5 from clearer audio.

I have a sky hd box will this cable make much difference if i replace it with one of these?

its not a filter but every time yu turn the channel or volume up you are calling for more current so its all about lag/lead and how fast and smooth it can arrive to the source. Plus because we have ac it very hard to be in sync its a wave form.I can also guess that the really die hards would try and use a dc supply which is as smooth as a babys bum.

How can this make a difference? is it a filter

I was sceptical, but decided to take the plunge and tried this cable out (after all I could easily get my money back if it's no good).

I swapped out the standard black mains cable on my Rega Apollo CD player with this one, and straight away there was a significant improvement in the music - considerably more punchy, focused and faster (didn't have to strain to hear an improvement or difference, as is the case with some types of cable swapping).

Incidentally, I swapped between old and new power cables several times, listening to the same piece of music each time.  The effect was prominent, not imagined or psycoacoustic in my opinion.  I would love to say 'it makes no difference, it's a con, etc' but I can't in this case.  I haven't done a double blind test, but I may try this in the near future.

Incidentally, my hifi kit was cold when I tried this, and music always sounds flat/dull before the amp, et al gets warmed up (usually takes about 1 hour to fully sweeten up), but this cable kind of negates that effet somewhat (I have yet to give it an extended listening test).

It basically sounds like I have upgraded my CD player to something with a much better DAC - so much more razor sharp!

Excellent product - it improved the audio and video performance of virtually every component used with it. Buy one for you amp and experiment you won't be disappointed if you currently using supplied power cables

Yet another con. for those with more money than sense. Maybe the rave reviews are from folk who don't want to admit to wasting the money.

How can a mains lead make any difference to the sound or picture quality? As long as it connects the mains input socket on to the socket on the wall with a reasonably low resistance any variations in mains voltage, frequency etc. will be romoved by the power supply in the TV, amplifier or whatever it is connected to.

Is the next step to change all the house wiring to OFC cable to improve things still further?

all i can say is this cable works fantastically got 1 on my sony 40 lcd tv picture is more smooth colours are more vibrant the picture just looks more natural. put 1 on my cyrus 8vs2 sound is more open. treble smoother. bass tighter. also put one on my cyrus cd6s cdp. and again improvements were heard. also bought there entry level 8 hub to replace cheap 5 mains extension lead i was using that seemed to make every thing sound better. and picture seemed to improve as well. hope this helps.
