I bought a 0.5 metre pair of these to replace my existing Cable Talk Broadcast 3 between my NAD C515BEE CD Player and C315BEE Amp.
Amazingly they seem to extract even more depth and detail from my system. A heartily recommended upgrade - you'll be playing ALL of your CDs over again just to see what detail you were missing before! Fabulous!
The same as with the HDMI cable reviews, What Hi Fi are saying these are the best buys, but in what catagory, upto £50 surely not the best overall cable?
What HiFi used to do reviews in three catagories, (a) best budget. (B) Best mid Table. (C) Best cable overall, Money no object.
The way in which What HiFI are carrying out their reviews now are a little confusing.
I haven't always been a fan of chord products namely rumour speaker cable, but as I have never tried a chord interconnect thought I would give this a go, well prepare to be amazed, this crimson connection is something special, if your of the old school and remember how records used to sound, this cable does exactly that, big open sound the smallest of details uncovered easily, wonderful, I have tried interconnects from other conpanies, the most recent being the merlin mozart but even that cannot do what this does, kudos to chord for producing a thoroughly honest connection at a realistic price.
Prior to owning separates, I've never been a massive believer of you get what you pay for when it comes to cabling. I have to say I am happy to eat humble pie as these interconnects are so much better than the QED pair I had before.
I find it hard to express into words just how much better these cables are to the cheaper cables I have been using in the past. They simply deliver so much more detail and do so effortlessly.
I don't have an expensive setup (Marantz CD6003 and PM6003 with Wharfedale 10.1s) but these cables certainly bring out the best of these components in my opinion.
