Should mention that the USB is, happily, asynchronous. Surprised this isn't even mentioned in the What Hi-Fi tech specs, as it's a major plus. In fact the tech specs don't even mention USB at all. Come on What Hi-Fi, get with the program.
Purchased this yesterday and took it back today did not gel with it at all was really temperamental when connecting to my Windows 7 computer hardly worked and only connected a few times to my laptop with windows 8 even after i downloaded the drivers. Bass sounded overblown and boomy I have the DAC Magic on my separates and this sounds nothing like that, the Dragonfly is miles better in my opinion still the best DAC for less than £300.
This is a great bit of kit I have been B testing for the last couple of months. It works really well directly from a PC (in my case a Macbook) directly into some small active monitors. Real bargain.

The Note 8.0 might have been a great tablet once, but now it looks outclassed and outdated
A classic example of style over substance. Given tweaks to the sound it could be far better, but that’s not to be for now
All style and little substance – the Pill isn’t talented enough to compete with more accomplished class rivals
