Gorgeous. There's a reason that these are the speakers the staff at hi-end stores in Akihabara area always playing when I drop in. Usually hooked up to a number of Luxman or Esoteric power amps. I for one welcome our Dalek overlords...
I don't know about these new speakers but the old ones didn't do tight bass. They were completely rubbish on techno, drum and bass. And no, it wasn't the room acoustics. Hard to believe that these ones will be different if it's the typical B&W sound. These are good speakers but not for every genre i'm afraid.
Snell THX Reference towers are definitely the best speakers ever made, but the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond 800 come at a close second in my opinion, i've auditioend plenty high end speakers but none come close to t hese two, and the diamonds are greatly underpriced in my opinion, since the only ones that have higher quality are the Snell THX Reference system!
I guess they deserve 5 stars at £18!.....oh and twenty seconds later they've sky-rocketed to £18,000. Inflation eh? Will they creep up to £18,500? ho ho
