On first listen very appealing sound with lots of punch, however as soon as I moved more than 5 feet from the transmitter I experienced audio clipping (very like VOIP). No help from the Beyer Dynamic help-desk so unfortunately going to be sent back and exchnged for Sennheiser 160 and see if they are any better!
Ive just had them for only 2days and send them back because of some serious transmission issues...The sound quality was good BUT I had to turn all of my other 2.4Ghz stuff off to listen to my musics properly. Specially my 2.4ghz wireless telephone was making the sound kinda tik tik tik noise...Even changing channels didnt help
So, I decided to try the Philips SHD8900
The reception is just great...No interference at all with all my 2.4Ghz stuff on(including my telephone and wifi router)
No noise of any kind
Plus the sound is much more better than the Beyer (at least to me)Deeper bass, more airy vocals, smoother treble, louder, no background hiss, ...
I just wondered why they should not be reviewd here?
hmmm...
Pros,
-Good quality sound
-light weight
-Classic design
-Replaceable ear cushions
Cons,
-for good reception you should not have any other 2.4Ghz stuff turned on...Nor your neighbors
-Sound is not the best comparing to its new rivals
-Feels a bit plasticky with lots of cracks in cans when you move your head or pressing buttons
-Cheap looking transmitter,
-Battery would last only for 4-4.5hrs with moderate volume level
Conclusion:
They may have a well known brand name in the headphone's world but that transmission issue is enough to ruin all the company's reputation...
